Keep the DREAM ACT Alive

Today, America confronts troubled times. Everywhere you go, they’re talking about the necessity and importance of a college education. But some of us, instead of being lent a helping hand, are subjugated into a state of oppression that has undermined the unity of our glorious nation- and has also given a middle finger to the melting pot theory of that same glorious nation of ours.
In this day and age, we are divided on a delicate issue, but a “house divided cannot stand,” and it is for this reason that we need to stand together as a united front- interlocked at the arms.
Here, we all stand, under a nation where “all men are created equal.” But, as the situation has demonstrated, this is not true. Instead, for it to be true, it should be read as “all men are created equal, but some men are created more equal than others.”
Other men talk about having a dream, and we too have DREAMS. But our DREAM is being challenged at the moment, and some elephants have even promised to crush our dream if we elect them.
But a’int we Americans? Can we no longer have our pursuit of happiness? I could have sworn I saw this somewhere- was it on a bumper sticker? We are promised the American dream, only to find out it was a bag of “magic beans” all along.
It’s so disappointing.
Lady Liberty pleads with the rest of the world to “send me your tired, your poor, and broke,” just so she can exploit them and send them right back.
Not that long ago, about ten years or so, a man in a suit stated that “No Child [will be] Left Behind.” This legislation was a step in the right direction for our nation, but we need to take more steps. The legislature does not account for the grown child: the adult. Not only are we being left behind, but we are being arbitrarily excluded. Do we allow the elephants to obliterate our DREAM! A’int we American?
I thought we the people had a right, but I guess we the people were wrong-
like always.
