Garfield Basketball: Start of the Season

Basketball season has officially started and here at Garfield High School, the spirits are high in what appears is going to be a great season for the bulldogs.

On December 1, 2011 the varsity basketball team faced Montebello on the first game of the season which they won by 18 points. This proved to be a great start for the bulldogs. However, the J.V. team lost by 10 points but they will overcome that small stone in their path in what is going to be a great season for them.

The girls basketball team play Venice in their season opener on Monday December 5, 2011.

Selina Crisanto, a member of the girls basketball team, says,”We have a great team and are looking forward to a great season. Whoo! Global!” Lets hope the Garfield Basketball does even better this year than the last.
